On Sunday (April 20), Snoop Dogg celebrated his enduring relationship with marijuana by releasing a trippy new music video for “Last Dance With Mary Jane,” which was directed by Dave Meyers. The single is a collaboration with country star Jelly Roll, and features a sample from late rock legend Tom Petty, and is lifted from Snoop’s 2024 album, Missionary. The psychedelic clip also features guest appearances – many of them through a series of colorful animations – by the rapper’s iconic friends such as Dr. Dre, Tupac Shakur, Bob Marley, Redman, Method Man, B-Real, and Wiz Khalifa, along with Jelly and Petty as well. The video incorporates Snoop’s trademark humor and style through a series of surreal, wild sequences, while also conveying the profound impact of marijuana on Snoop’s life that compliments the subject matter of the song itself.
