Even if you LOVE holiday shopping, everyone has ONE STUBBORN PERSON on their list who’s very difficult to shop for. And let’s be honest . . . it’s grandpa. And he knows it.
A poll asked, “How easy or difficult do you think it is for other people to pick out gifts for you?” 20% said very easy . . . another 38% said relatively easy . . . 21% said kinda difficult . . . and 9% admitted it’s very hard to shop for them.
If you break it down by demographics: The people most likely to admit they’re very hard to shop for are MEN over the age of 65. The group most likely to say they’re easy to shop for are Southern women, between the ages of 30 and 44.
They also asked, “How good or bad do you think you are at picking out gifts for people in your life?”
20% said very good . . . another 48% said somewhat good . . . 16% said somewhat bad . . . and 7% said very bad. And guess who the worst gift-buyers are: Yup, BOOMER MEN.
So they’re hard to buy for, and they can’t shop for anyone else.
Can we just have them buy gifts for themselves? If we do, they WILL need someone to wrap the gifts . . . because guess what: Grandpas are also the group most likely to admit to being bad at wrapping presents.
Overall, 61% of people said they’re at least decent at wrapping, while 34% said they’re not great. And almost half of them admit they’re terrible.
