Is it okay to leave a party by quietly slipping out the door, or should you force yourself to weave your way through the whole place to find the host to personally say goodbye?
In a poll, 33% of people said YES, you should find them and say bye.
16% of people said, NAH, the so-called “French Leave” or “Irish Exit” is fine. That’s basically when you duck out without saying anything to anyone.
And 52% say it depends on how big the party is. Which could make sense.
Obviously, it feels a little less dramatic to leave a house party that’s jam-packed with people . . . as opposed to mysteriously disappearing from a board game party with seven others. Some say the cut-off for saying goodbye is 10 people.
