Call it the ultimate fan club . . . for the afterlife.
A new report says some celebrity superfans are spending serious money to be buried next to their idols. Here are some of the wildest examples:
1. One Marilyn Monroe fan paid $195,000 for a mausoleum crypt near her final resting place.
2. A Judy Garland fan spent more than $50,000 on an urn niche right next to her. He even filled it with his own art for now.
3. In New York’s Woodlawn Cemetery, plots near jazz legends Miles Davis and Duke Ellington can cost over $70,000.
4. And at Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Los Angeles, burial spots start around $200,000 . . . and custom mausoleums can be as high as $6 million.
Cemetery officials say requests to be buried near famous people happen all the time. They like the idea of spending eternity in legendary company.
