Think zombie apocalypse. Here are the five places in the U.S. where you don’t want to be if everything goes haywire:
1. The Northeast . . . Because it depends heavily on complex infrastructure, and supply chains. So, the dense population can cause big problems.
2. California . . . You’ll want to stay away from California because of the wildfires, earthquakes, and water shortages.
3. The southwest desert, specifically Phoenix . . . It’ll cause problems due to its extreme heat, and dependence on imported water.
4. Florida . . . It could be in trouble due to hurricanes, sea level rise, saltwater intrusion, and limited evacuation routes.
5. And finally, the industrial Midwest . . . It could be a problem due to its aging infrastructure, and harsh winter weather.
