A lot of Americans take football too seriously . . . and that’s probably not healthy. But this guy’s obsession is way, WAAAAY over the line.
A 64-year-old man in Virginia named Terry Ward was arrested earlier this month, after allegedly TAPING HIS WIFE TO A CHAIR in their basement . . . so he could watch football without her bothering him.
It’s unclear what game he needed to see so badly . . . but it was the night of Sunday, October 11th . . . so it could’ve been a Ravens / Falcons game.
The wife told police she was tied to the chair for around 30 to 45 minutes, and they noticed that she had marks and tape residue on both of her arms. Terry also admitted that he taped her to the chair, and left her in the basement.
It may sound silly to some people, but he’s in BIG TROUBLE. He was charged with felony abduction by force, and misdemeanor assault and battery. He’s due in court next month.
