This might work in cartoons . . . but not in real life.
A 32-year-old man in Oklahoma named William Garcia was arrested on Monday, after he removed his court-ordered ankle monitor . . . and then tried to make a run for it, jumping fences and running through yards.
He was caught, and the cops later found his ankle monitor strapped to three yellow, smiley-face balloons. They weren’t strong enough to actually carry it away though, so it was just on the ground, with the balloons hovering over it.
The police said, “We’ll give him points for creativity. But while festive, the balloons weren’t strong enough to float away.”
William was taken into custody on his outstanding felony warrants, and an additional charge of obstructing an officer.
