Anna Faris is pretty sure three times won’t be a charm for her. The twice-married, twice-divorced star opens up about being gun-shy on taking the plunge on her Divorce Sucks! podcast.
Asked if there were wedding bells in the future with boyfriend Michael Barrett, the 42-year-old said: “I will say I believe in love and monogamy and I believe in the commitment with a relationship. But I do struggle, having gone through it a couple of times now, Laura, with the idea of our legal system.”
She added, “I struggle with that on kind of a feminist level.”
Her most recent ex, Chris Pratt, 39, with whom she shares one son, Jack, 6, and still has plenty of love, is happily going for another round himself with Katherine Schwarzenegger.
This isn’t the first time she’s spoken out. She told Dax Shepard in March of 2018 on Armchair Expert that she didn’t really see the upside of marriage.
“I need to figure out what the purpose is. Is it safety for your children? Is it convention? Is it so other people respect your relationship more?” she said. “For me, I’m just not quite sure where it fits. I am a romantic. I believe in a partnership, I believe in companionship. I just don’t know if I believe in a ceremony of a wedding.
