Canton Entertainment is developing Lucille, the first authorized feature film about blues legend B.B. King. Producer Mark Canton will partner with The B.B. King Music Company & Estate on the project. The biopic traces King’s journey from Mississippi cotton fields to global stardom, highlighting his collaborations with Eric Clapton, U2, The Rolling Stones, and many more. The film centers on King’s relationship with his Gibson guitar Lucille, named after a woman connected to a near-death experience. “There is no greater story of triumph and aspiration than that of B.B. King,” Canton said. Raphael Jackson Jr. and Damione Macedon from Starz’s Fightland will executive produce. (Story URL)
