Bill Murray, 68, and Selena Gomez, 26, raised brows when they hit up the red carpet at Cannes last month, clearly very much into each other. And now, Murray is sharing just how much he adores Gomez in a series of cute, but vaguely weird, remarks made to People.
He admitted that, first of all, he had some idea of what she’d be like. Murray spilled: "I learned that I like her. I learned that whatever preconception I had about someone that had 55 million, billion followers of something — maybe, I probably thought she was different than she turned out to be.”
That’s 152 million Murray, just in case you were wondering.
Here’s where the conversation takes a turn. Murray said: “If my mother were alive I’d bring her home to her,” he joked, before acting out the meeting, “‘Mother. I want you to meet Selena.'”
And what was he whispering into her ear on the red carpet? “I don’t remember what I said. I was trying to keep her at ease.”
