Candace Cameron Bure Removes Swimsuit Photo Due To Body-Shaming Comments

Full House actress Candace Cameron Bure removed a bathing suit photo from Instagram after facing unwanted comments about her body. The 49-year-old explained on her Instagram Stories Saturday that she deleted the beach photo because “the comments became flooded with people discussing my body.” Bure wrote “It wasn’t worth it. I took it down” when responding to a fan’s question about the missing post. The mother-of-three said she was wearing a one-piece swimsuit while “soaking up the end of summer” and having fun at the beach. Bure has previously discussed her struggles with body image and bulimia. In July, she revealed “I developed an eating disorder when I was 18” and admitted to having “troubling” thoughts about achieving the “perfect body.” She credited her husband Valeri Bure as providing “incredible support” throughout her ongoing mental health journey.
