NICKI CLYNE DEFENDS NXIVM: Battlestar Galactica star Nicki Clyne defended herself and wife Allison Mack’s devotion to the sex cult NXIVM. Speaking to CBS’ The Morning, she said: “It’s very unfortunate the way that the word NXIVM has been applied and is now synonymous with the term sexual cult, which I don’t even know how to define what that is.” Keith Raniere was convicted on a number of charges in 2019, including launching a master-slave sex group where women were allegedly forced to have sex with him, go on restrictive diets and have his initials branded into their skin. He is awaiting sentencing behind bars. Clyne has not been charged with a crime; Mack has pleaded guilty to racketeering and conspiracy charges.

ROBERT PATTINSON RECOGNIZES POTENTIAL BATMAN FAILURE: Robert Pattinson has signed on the play the Dark Knight in a trilogy of new Batman movies, and he know there is a definite possibility it won’t work out as planned. He told Total Film Magazine: ″There's a slightly different feeling when you know loads and loads of people are going to watch something you're working on. I weirdly enjoyed it during Twilight, the idea that you can mess it up. I guess I felt confident. I wanted to be on the big stage." He added: ″One of the things that are interesting is learning how to be Batman. It's a criminological experiment. He's trying to figure out what he can do to change this place. He's seeing he's not having any of the effect he wants to have. That's when the murders start to happen … and it opens up a whole new world of corruption. Without being an origin tale, it ends up touching on his origins.″
