OLIVIA WILDE TO DIRECT PERFECT: Olivia Wilde is set to direct the Kerri Strug biopic Perfect, what many observers say is among the hottest packages at EFM in Berlin, Deadline reports. The film is based on Landing On My Feet, A Diary of Dreams by Strug and John P. Lopez, and follows the story of the gymnast’s triumph against the odds to win the first gold medal at the 1996 Olympics.

STRANGER THINGS TEASES RETURN: David Harbour‘s Jim Hopper is back in the saddle for a fourth season of Stranger Things. This time, according to a teaser trailer, he’s imprisoned in an obscure Russian region. “We’re excited to officially confirm that production on Stranger Things 4 is now underway — and even more excited to announce the return of Hopper. Although it’s not all good news for our “American”; he is imprisoned far from home in the snowy wasteland of Kamchatka, where he will face dangers both human…and other. Meanwhile, back in the states, a new horror is beginning to surface, something long buried, something that connects everything,” creators The Duffer Brothers wrote.

STEVEN SPIELBERG’S SON’S DEBUT HEADING TO BERLIN: Honeydew, the New England-set horror film starring Steven Spielberg‘s son Sawyer Spielberg in his first role, is headed to Berlin. Arthouse production company Yellow Veil Pictures has acquired the sales rights. The film also stars Malin Barr and Barbara Kingsley and follows the story of the strange cravings and hallucinations that befall a young couple who sought shelter in the home of a farmer and her unusual son.

PEEP THE BATMAN: Director Matt Reeves has shared the first look at Robert Pattinson as The Dark Knight in The Batman. He was cast in May of 2019, and they have been filming since January in London. Zoe Kravitz, Paul Dano, Colin Farrell and others star; Warner Bros expects the film to drop on June 25th, 2021.
