Real Housewives of New Jersey star Joe Giudice is desperate to get home, and is begging a judge to allow him to see his wife Teresa and their four daughters at home, TMZ reports. The issue is especially urgent as Joe is scheduled to be deported back to his native Italy.
Sources tell the pub that he has a bond hearing set for Wednesday morning in a Pennsylvania immigration court to decide whether he can be released from ICE custody as he appeals his deportation case.
Joe’s extended family and Teresa are set to appear at the hearing, though his kids will reportedly stay away. Joe will not be there himself in person because he’s held several hours away at the Clinton County Correctional Facility. Instead, he’ll appear by video feed.
Joe went to prison in March of 2016 to serve 41 months for conspiring to commit wire and bankruptcy fraud. Since being released from federal prison in March he has been behind bars awaiting deportation. Teresa previously said that she will divorce Joe if he is deported.
Joe’s lawyer James Leonard Jr., tells TMZ: "What is happening to Joe Giudice and to his family and thousands of other families regarding these draconian immigration laws is nothing short of inhumane."
He adds … "We are praying for some sort of relief tomorrow from the Court. This family has paid their debt to society and then some. Enough is enough."
