Liam Neeson acknowledged the need to move on from his action star persona — hinting that he’ll be retiring from Taken-style films by the end of 2025. “I’m 72 — it has to stop at some stage,” he told People. The veteran actor does his own fight scenes, but longtime double Mark Vanselow steps in for the tougher stuff. “You can’t fool audiences. I don’t want Mark to be fighting my fight scenes for me.” Neeson said he’ll be done with action by “maybe the end of next year,” adding: “I think that’s it.” However, it’s worth noting that he said something similar in 2017 before un-retiring two weeks later. But he may have a future in comedy: The Naked Gun reboot that he’s starring in with Pamela Anderson is still for release on August 1st, 2025. (COS)
