Oscar-winner Emerald Fennell’s upcoming Wuthering Heights adaptation has gained traction, with Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi signing-on to star as Catherine Earnshaw and Heathcliff, respectively. The film, based on Emily Brontë’s classic romance novel, is scheduled for a 2025 shoot in the U.K. Fennell is still riding the success of Promising Young Woman and Saltburn, and A-listers like Robbie have been dying to work with her. “Emerald immerses you into a world so quickly. She’s so masterful at tone and plot,” she told Variety earlier this year. “She gets in your brain and she kind of taps into the most depraved parts of it, so that you’re complicit in the story. That’s the watercooler moment — the thing that people are talking about two weeks afterwards.” (Variety)
