Michael B. Jordan will not only star but also direct a re-imagining of The Thomas Crown Affair, his second directorial project. The script, penned by Drew Pearce (The Fall Guy, Hobbs & Shaw), is inspired by the 1968 film starring Steve McQueen and marks the third adaptation of the romantic heist tale, following the 1999 remake with Pierce Brosnan and Renee Russo. Jordan’s busy filmmaker schedule includes various projects in development, with the Thomas Crown Affair initially announced back in 2016. He also has a new collaboration with Ryan Coogler on the way, plus the I Am Legend sequel with Will Smith and the Tom Clancy thriller Rainbow Six. (Variety)
