Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown is set to adapt her debut novel, Nineteen Things, into a Netflix feature film. Published in September 2023, the book is inspired by her grandmother’s experiences during World War II and follows a young woman named Nellie Morris in east London. The screenplay is being adapted by Anthony McCarten, known for Bohemian Rhapsody and Darkest Hour. Brown has a close relationship with Netflix, having starred in Stranger Things, the Enola Holmes films, and the fantasy adventure Damsel.
