Amazon Prime Video is developing a Robocop series, with producer James Wan (Saw, Aquaman, The Conjuring) leading the creative team. The show will follow a tech conglomerate collaborating with the police to introduce a technologically advanced cyborg cop. The series aims to remain faithful to the original 1987 film, which depicted a dystopian future affected by corporate infiltration of law enforcement. This latest adaptation is one of many titles inherited by Amazon as a result of its acquisition of MGM, along with Silence Of The Lambs, James Bond, The Handmaid’s Tale, and Legally Blonde, which is also getting a prequel series.
