October 16–18, 2026 | Downtown Tucson

One of Tucson’s most beloved traditions returns to Downtown Tucson! Tucson Meet Yourself brings together the sights, sounds, flavors, and traditions of the many cultures that make Southern Arizona such a special place. The free, three-day folklife festival takes over Jácome Plaza and surrounding downtown streets October 16–18 for a weekend filled with live music and dance, incredible food, folk arts, demonstrations, workshops, and cultural experiences for the entire family.

Since 1974, Tucson Meet Yourself has celebrated the living cultures and traditions of the Greater Southwest. More than 500 artists, musicians, dancers, cooks, and tradition bearers representing 65 or more cultural communities participate in the festival, sharing the music, food, crafts, stories, and customs that have been passed from generation to generation. Visitors can explore more than 100 festival activities and events, including world music and dance performances, folk-art demonstrations, interactive cultural experiences, and ten festival villages and pavilions.

And you’ll definitely want to come hungry! Food has always been one of the biggest attractions at Tucson Meet Yourself, and the 2026 festival features approximately 50 food vendors offering flavors and dishes from cultures around the world. Visitors can also explore the Home Cooks Corridor, featuring small-batch family recipes and dishes traditionally prepared in home kitchens, or stop by the Culture Kitchen for cooking demonstrations and a closer look at the stories and traditions behind the food. Many Home Cooks Corridor specialties are made in limited quantities, so arriving early is a good idea!

New and returning cultural experiences for 2026 include ten micro-pavilions, with areas celebrating Spanish, Peruvian, Asian, Kazakh, disability cultures, children’s folklore and more. The festival will also mark America’s 250th anniversary with the Smithsonian’s Of the People Village, highlighting makers, workers, storytellers, and the cultural traditions that help tell the American story.
