The ninth annual Love Rocks NYC Benefit Concert took place at New York’s Beacon Theatre on Thursday (March 6), and featured memorable performances from Cher, Beck, Phish’s Trey Anastasio, and Alicia Keys. The charity event raised over $4 million for God’s Love We Deliver, which provides home-delivery of meals for people unable to cook or shop for themselves. The organization has raised over $50 million to date, funding 5 million meals for New Yorkers living with severe illnesses. The event was hosted by Alex Edelman, Amy Schumer, Susie Essman, and Tracy Morgan, and featured a lineup including Mavis Staples, Michael McDonald, Kate Hudson, Peter Frampton, and more. Cher donned an Elvis Presley costume during her performance of “Walking in Memphis,” while Alicia Keys paid tribute to the late Roberta Flack by covering her 1973 hit “Killing Me Softly.” Love Rocks was executive produced by international fashion designer John Varvatos, along with Greg Williamson and Nicole Rechter.
