On Tuesday (January 28), the Jonas Brothers announced that they are returning to their Disney roots by starring in an upcoming Christmas movie for the company. The pop stars disclosed their movie plans on Instagram with a clever 40-second video spoofing the memorable cue cards scene from Love Actually. The clip features the singers on a doorstep holding up a series of cards which reads, “Sorry to bother you. But we’re making a Christmas movie. Coming out this holiday season. Only on Disney+.” According to the log line for the film – which has a working title of Jonas Brothers Christmas Movie – brothers Nick, Joe, and Kevin will “face a series of obstacles as they struggle to make it from London to New York” in time for Christmas. The film will be directed by Jessica Yu, based on a script by Isaac Attacker and Elizabeth Berger, and will feature original music by Grammy-winning songwriter Justin Tranter. (Rolling Stone)
