People complain about traffic and gas prices, but there’s a hidden “cost” of owning a vehicle: The time you waste looking for a place to park.

According to a new report, 66% of city drivers typically spend up to 15 minutes searching for a parking space. 12% say it usually takes 15 to 30 minutes to find parking . . . and nearly 3% say they usually blow MORE than 30 minutes searching.

Overall, about 20% say it’s often difficult to find parking when needed.

Unfortunately, there aren’t simple solutions. 54% of city drivers say they have used rideshare or public transportation to avoid parking hassles.

85% of people say they’re open to paying a little extra for convenience, but only when there’s a clear benefit . . . like guaranteed parking or closer spaces.

And 52% of people would love it if cities invested more in modern parking technology . . . making it easier to see parking availability digitally, or to pre-book something ahead of time.
