One of America’s Most-Searched Definitions Is . . . “Love”

If someone says it’s hard to define LOVE, you’d assume they meant the feeling . . . not an actual dictionary definition.

A new analysis tracked Google search data from January through last week, to rank the most-searched word definitions in the U.S. so far this year.

And “gaslighting” topped the list, with roughly 287,000 monthly searches.

If you’ve somehow gone THIS FAR into the 2020s without knowing what gaslighting means, it’s “psychological manipulation, over an extended period of time, that causes the victim to question the validity of their own perception of reality.”

And the runner-up is: “Love,” with 275,000 monthly definition searches. (???)

Here’s the rest of the Top 10: Fascism . . . empathy . . . integrity . . . metaphor . . . narcissist . . . culture . . . democracy . . . and bias.
