A lot of people in the South like to hype their “Southern Hospitality,” but it doesn’t sound like most people are thrilled to visit the South.
There’s a new report out on the 10 “friendliest states” in America . . . and it compiled travel data from domestic and international visitors . . . social media . . . plus equality and happiness “scores” to rate how welcoming they are.
In the end, Hawaii is #1), followed by New Jersey.
New York is #3, followed by California . . . Nevada . . . Massachusetts . . . our very own Arizona is #7 . . . Illinois . . . Utah, which called itself the “Friendly State” on license plates . . . and Virginia.
Unfortunately, they didn’t say how the other 40 states ranked . . . so there’s no word on the LEAST-FRIENDLY state.
