An annual list of the Best Jobs in America just came out. And the same gig is up at the top again. NURSE PRACTITIONER is “U.S. News & World Report’s” best job in America for a third straight year.
They base their rankings on things like how well each job pays . . . how fulfilling they are . . . how STRESSFUL they are . . . and how realistic it is to have a good work-life balance. They also look at job openings, and room for advancement.
1. Nurse practitioner. The typical salary is $129,000 a year, the unemployment rate is less than 1%, and they expect 40% more job openings for nurse practitioners over the next decade.
2. Financial manager, $162,000. More money, but less job growth.
3. I.T. manager, $171,000
4. Information security analyst, $125,000
5. Physician assistant, $133,000
The rest of the Top 10 are: Medical and health services manager . . . software developer . . . data scientist . . . speech-language pathologist . . . and pilot.
