People have stopped buying Doritos and other name-brand snacks because they’ve become too expensive . . . and at $7 a bag, it’s so bad that Walmart is reducing the shelf space for these products.
So someone asked the internet, “What’s something you’ve officially stopped buying in 2026 because the price has become too bad?” And here are a few:
1. Beer at concerts. “I’m not paying $19 for one beer anymore, it’s absurd.”
2. Concert tickets themselves.
3. Red meat. “I used to say steak, but now it’s becoming beef in general.”
4. Fast food. “Prices are basically restaurant-level now, so I’d rather just cook at home or grab something local that’s actually better.”
5. Computer parts. “I pray my PC outlasts this insane bubble.”
6. Gas station coffee. “I just paid $5.60 for a coffee, normal sized, from a machine. Never again.”
7. Netflix. “After subscribing for 14 years.” They just raised their prices for the second time in less than two years. Other streaming services, including Spotify, are also climbing at similar rates.
8. Coca-Cola, Pepsi, and other name-brand sodas and drinks.
9. Good chocolate.
10. Cereal. “And ‘family size’ are the size normal boxes were five years ago.”
11. Nail salon services. “I bought the supplies to try and do my own nails.”
12. Car washes.
13. Twizzlers. “They used to be $1.99 for the pound bag, now they’re $5.99!”
14. Helium. “I bought an industrial gas tank during Covid so I could fill balloons for all the parties my daughter attends. I am just about out, but I won’t be refilling it until this nonsense calms down.”
