Tucson it’s time to get your GROOVE Back! Rico Hernandez is an Arizona native and he started his broadcast career in radio here in Tucson back in 2014! Rico first got his start as an on-air radio personality thanks to Melissa Santacruz who discovered him and gave him his first shot on the airwaves here in the Old Pueblo. He moved to Sonora, Mexico, when he was young and lived in several cities throughout the southwest since then including Tucson being his home for more than 10yrs. Rico is a huge lover of music and sports, especially boxing. Prior to his broadcast career, Rico was a former professional stuntman, break dancer & also boxer. Rico has had the privilege of being the Master of Ceremonies for top recording Latin Artists including Ramon Ayala, La Mafia, Los Kumbia Kings, Fito Olivares & more here in Tucson. He also got to Breakdance on stage for KRS-One here at The Rialto in downtown Tucson! He is very active in the local community & you can find all over the Old Pueblo either eating or cruising around in his Lowrider seeing as he is a member of a local car club BAJITO CC. Rico also supports antiviolence & anti-bullying initiatives, and in the past has worked with multiple clubs, organizations, and afterschool programs to help mentor and guide troubled youth.
