About Melissa Santa Cruz – 3PM to 7PM

Melissa Santa Cruz was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona, attended Pima Community College, the University of Arizona and broadcasting school.  Although a third generation Tucsonan, after completing her studies,  Melissa’s career began on a radio station in Globe, Arizona. Soon after accepting a radio gig in Tucson making her a favorite among local on-air personalities.

Melissa’s tenure with the music industry of over 30 years has made her a household name.  Her love of music, her listeners and community has made her a local figure.

Melissa is loved by so many and makes it a priority to stay dedicated to her listeners, which consist of a huge and diverse family. Yes, she considers her listeners like family and she believes staying connected to them via radio is vital.  Melissa credits much of her success to her appreciation of her listeners and her passion for music and the communities it touches.

When Melissa is not surfing the radio waves she and her husband David are busy tending to their ranchito in Avra Valley complete with horses, cows, goats, dogs and chickens. Melissa has two grown sons and two beautiful grandchildren whom she loves more than words can express.  Family is her rock but radio has been her passion.
