Xavier “The X-Man”® is renowned for his kindness and sincerity, evident in his radio show and interactions with fans. Born in Fort Ord, California, and raised in a “MexiPino/FiliXican” household, Xavier honed his radio skills at KHDC 90.9fm before attending San Jose State University. His career soared from WILD 94.9 to Mega 100 LA, eventually landing in San Diego at MAGIC 92.5. He now hosts “THE X-MAN’S SHOW” on 106.3 The Groove in Tucson, among others. Xavier’s passions extend beyond radio, including dancing, golfing, and his love for Lowriders. Despite his busy schedule, he remains deeply committed to community outreach, particularly in Latino and Filipino communities, advocating for children’s causes and education. With his syndicated Oldies show gaining traction nationwide, Xavier’s influence continues to grow, leaving an indelible mark on airwaves and communities alike.
MELISSA SANTA CRUZ – 3p-7p
Melissa Santa Cruz was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona, attended Pima Community College, the University of Arizona and broadcasting school. Although a third generation Tucsonan, after completing her studies, Melissa’s career began on a radio station in Globe, Arizona. Soon after accepting a radio gig in Tucson making her a favorite among local on-air personalities. Her tenure with the music industry of over 30 years has made her a household name. Her love of music, her listeners and community has made her a local figure. She is loved by so many and makes it a priority to stay dedicated to her listeners, which consist of a huge and diverse family. Yes, she considers her listeners like family and she believes staying connected to them via radio is vital. Melissa credits much of her success to her appreciation of her listeners and her passion for music and the communities it touches.
