Ariana Grande is under fire for posting – and then removing – a video of herself and some friends mocking Native Americans.
The video, which was originally posted on her husband Dalton Gomez’s Instagram account, was captured by the account Pop Faction. According to Pop Faction, the video shows Grande, “her husband and her friends are trying to ‘summon a spirit’ mocking native Americans ceremonies.” Additionally, one of the friends appears to be wearing a rice hat.
One fan tweeed, "ariana grande disrespecting indigenous people’s cultures? americans have such a long history of dehumanizing native americans but shouldn’t we hold those with a platform to a higher standard? even if it is the bare minimum?"
