On Friday evening (June 19th), D. L. Hughley passed out while performing at Zanies Comedy Club in Nashville, TN. According to TMZ, Hughley was on stage in front of a sold out crowd and then at around 11 pm, his voice started trailing off. A security guard handed him a bottle of water and then a minute later, he passed out while leaning against a stool. Hughley's manager was right there to catch him before he hit the floor. His manager carried him off stage.
No one told the crowd what happened but the ambulance and fire truck showed up and took him to the hospital.
His rep said in a statement that the comedian was “suffering from exhaustion after all the week’s work and travel, and was kept overnight at the hospital for tests under doctor’s orders. He is awake and feeling better, and wishes to thank everyone for the very kind prayer and thoughts.”
D.L. REVEALS HE HAS CORONAVIRUS
On Saturday (June 20th), D.L. revealed that he fainted due to exhaustion and dehydration but after running tests, he found out that he was positive for COVID-19. D.L. said that he had no symptoms at all.
