On Saturday (November 23rd), an Instagram account claiming to belong to R. Kelly's girlfriend Joycelyn Savage has claimed that the singer abused her — but is it really Joycelyn speaking out?

According to TMZ, the Instagram account claimed that Joycelyn would be posting her story on the paid membership platform Patreon. In the first post, the claimed she met R. Kelly at age 17 back in 2015 at one of his concerts. She said that he told her he would jumpstart her music career, saying, “Baby girl you are going to be the next Aaliyah.” As a result, she said she dropped out of college and moved in the with R. Kelly.

She said, “After these couple of months Robert started giving me commands, and making sure I call him by certain names. Like ‘Master’ or ‘Daddy’ which I didn’t really care for at the time, ” Savage wrote. “If I wasn’t getting paid or pursuing my dream I would’ve went home, but all of that didn’t stop just yet. But It started getting worse by day by day, he would raise his voice at me if I didn’t call him by those two names. If Robert called me I would have to reply with ‘Yes, daddy’ or ‘Please daddy’ he was so controlling.”

She added that she is risking her life by sharing her story.

According to The Chicago Sun Times, in another post, Savage claimed that she became pregnant by Kelly in 2016 and he forced her to have an abortion in his own home. She said, “I realized I was pregnant by this monster … Eventually, I ended up getting an abortion I was forced to get the surgery done at his house.” She also claimed to be pregnant by R. Kelly twice. She also claimed that Kelly “grabbed me and choked me until I blacked out” when she called him “babe” instead of “Daddy” or “Master.”

She also talked about being “peed” on by R. Kelly “numerous times and also talked about allegedly being used as a “punching bag.”

She also posted a pic of what appeared to be a negative pregnancy test.

R. Kelly's attorney Steve Greenberg spoke out, saying, “It is unfortunate that Jocelym now seeks to make money by exploiting her long time, loving relationship with Robert. ” He added that it was not until “the money ran out that she decided something was wrong.”

He later said that he couldn't confirm if the Instagram account actually belonged to Joycelyn.

Joycelyn's sister Jai Savage spoke out yesterday (November 25th) and said that she has no idea if the person on the Joycelyn Savage Instagram is really her sister. She said that she hasn't heard from her sister and the woman who is claiming to be her doesn't sound anything like her sister.

Meanwhile, YouTube blogger Tasha K — who is often in contact with Joycelyn's family, says that the Instagram page is not Joycelyn's. She wrote on her YouTube community page: “That is NOT #JoycelynSavages Page! That is NOT her running that Patreon Account! She is thinking about making a Statement to shut down these BLATANT Lies!”
