The two are former classmates, and Lore'l bought up their past growing up together in Newark, NJ. Jordan responded, “The corny kid right?” Lore'l denied calling him corny, saying she was misquoted. Later, an old clip from a podcast resurfaced online, where Lore'l was discussing growing up with Jordan, saying that he was teased while they were kids because his name was Michael Jordan, but she never called him corny. Her co-host Dominique Da Diva is actually the person that called Jordan corny.
