TARAJI P. HENSON FILMED 'ACRIMONY' IN FIVE DAYS: Taraji P. Henson has revealed that she filmed her role as Melinda Gayle in the 2018 film Acrimony in five days. She wrote via Instagram, “I filmed my role in Acrimony in FIVE DAYS in the middle of playing Cookie on @Empire!! Tyler Perry told me I could do it, so of course, I believed him." She continued, “I was soooo afraid I would fail because I had no time to get into character (so I thought)! I learned something new about my instrument on this production.” She added, “We also had no time for a lot of takes so EVErY scene was about two takes…maybe three and then it was time to move on !! WOW.”

During an interview with The Athletic, Simpson spoke on the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman, calling it the "L.A. thing," saying, “unfortunately, some people wrongfully believe something, but I moved on. I still think I’m a good guy. I didn’t let it change me. It did for a while. I was angry for a while, but I treat everybody the way I want to be treated.” He later said, “I have trouble with L.A. People may think this is self-serving, but I might be sitting next to whoever did it. I really don’t know who did this.”
TICHINA ARNOLD FILES FOR DIVORCE FROM HUSBAND RICO HINES: Tichina Arnold has filed for divorce from husband Rico Hines — five years after they separated. Back in 2016, Arnold split from Hines after he reportedly had several extramarital affairs and had a sex tape with one of them. Arnold cited irreconcilable differences. The couple have no minor kids together, and she’s asking to block the court’s ability to award spousal support to either of them.
COMEDIAN TONY BAKER'S SON KILLED IN CAR ACCIDENT: The 21 year old son of comedian and actor Tony Baker was killed in a car crash in Burbank, California last Tuesday (August 3rd). According to Essence, Burbank police said in a press release that Cerain Anthony Raekwon Baker, the 21-year-old-son of comedian Tony Baker, Jaiden Johnson, 20, Natalee Moghaddam, 19, and another unnamed occupant were ejected from their silver Volkswagen when the car was struck by two other vehicles that appeared to have been street racing. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner reported that Cerain, Johnson and Moghaddam died accidentally of “multiple blunt force injuries.” Police said that the fourth occupant “sustained serious injuries,” police said, and was taken to a local trauma center. Sources say that criminal charges may be filed in connection with the crash.
