KEVIN DURANT’S ‘ADOPTED BROTHER’ CLIFF DIXON FATALLY SHOT IN ATLANTA: According to Complex, Cliff Dixon, former professional basketball player and very close friend of Kevin Durant, was murdered outside of an Atlanta area nightclub Thursday morning (March 21st). Dixon and a number of friends were at the club celebrating his 32nd birthday, when he was shot outside of the Little Saigon strip mall in Chamblee, Georgia. Reports said that Dixon was in critical condition when paramedics arrived at the scene, and he was rushed to Grady Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Authorities believe that Dixon was attacked by a lone gunman, who fled the scene on foot. Police searched the crime scene with K-9 units, but there is limited information due to several broken surveillance cameras. The shooting appears to have taken place outside of Atlanta’s SL Lounge. Dixon was known for being a professional basketball player after being the star on Western Kentucky University’s basketball team. Durant also described Dixon as his “adopted brother.” Durant’s mother, Wanda, expressed condolences on behalf of herself and the Durant family via Twitter. She said, “The Durant family extends our deepest condolences & prayers to Cliff’s mother, siblings, family & friends. Our family was an extension of his & we shared wonderful memories. His transition is an incredible loss for all of us who loved him, he will be missed dearly #CliffDixon RIP” Dixon was previously romantically linked to Erica Mena and India Love.
