John Lee Cowell, the man who stabbed and killed Oakland teen Nia Wilson on a BART train, was convicted of first degree murder on Tuesday (March 10th). He was also found guilty of attempted murder in the stabbing of Nia's sister Letifah Wilson, who was injured in the attack. According to NBC Bay Area, jurors deliberated for two hours before submitting the verdict.

On July 22, 2018, Cowell stabbed 18-year-old Nia and Letifah as they were exiting a BART train at the MacArthur Station.
