During a court appearance on Friday (September 9th), Ne-Yo objected his estranged wife’s demands, suggesting that she “get a job.” As previously reported, Chrystal Smith filed for divorce from the singer last month, and requested temporary and permanent alimony, the division of property and primary custody of their three children.

Meanwhile, according to Hot New Hip Hop, the singer also wants to keep the mansion they shared, claiming that he has “been solely responsible for the mortgage and maintenance of this property since the date of purchase.” He has denied the request to pay Crystal alimony and wants joint legal and physical custody of their children.

According to the court documents, Ne-Yo “asserts that he is financially, physically, and emotionally capable of serving as a joint physical custodian of the parties’ three minor children alongside Crystal.” In the most recent court filing, Ne-Yo expressed discomfort with Renay talking to the media about their issues.

The motion reads, “To date, Ne-Yo has loss approximately $400,000 in wages associated with public appearances, professional bookings, and promotional efforts related to the promotion of his new musical project”In other news, rumors are swirling that Ne-Yo is expecting a second child with his mistress and this is why Crystal filed for divorce.
