Reports say that Nick Cannon has officially reunited with ViacomCBS months after being fired over comments he made on his podcast, which they said “promoted hateful speech and spread anti-Semitic conspiracy theories.”

According to The Wrap, an MTV Entertainment Group spokesperson said in a statement, “Nick has not only apologized and taken responsibility for his comments, but he has also worked to educate himself and others through engagement with Jewish leaders and on his platforms. Those efforts are of the utmost importance and that’s why we have invited him to rejoin our team. On a separate note, we just learned that he tested positive for COVID and have reached out to wish him a speedy recovery.”

Production on new episodes of Cannon’s “Wild ‘N Out” are expected to resume in the future, though no timetable has been given. Meanwhile, a source told the site that VH1 will return to broadcasting reruns of the long-running series this week.
