R. Kelly has lost a sex abuse lawsuit after the singer failed to appear in Cook County court. According to Hollywood Unlocked via The Chicago Tribune, the judge presiding over the lawsuit declared a judgment against the singer. The attorneys of the woman, who claims that Kelly sexually abused her in the ‘90s, confirmed that she is one of the accusers in the ongoing criminal case against Kelly where he is facing 10 sexual abuse charges — three of the women were underage at the time.

The lawsuit says, “Commencing in or about June 1998 and thereafter until she was of the age of majority, defendant, Robert Sylvester Kelly, sexually abused plaintiff. Specifically, defendant, Robert Sylvester Kelly, had sexual intercourse with the minor plaintiff. The defendant also engaged in oral sex with the minor plaintiff. During these repeated incidents, defendant represented to the minor plaintiff that this behavior was appropriate.”
