R. Kelly Pleads With Judge For Release For The Third Time

R. Kelly is still trying to get out of jail amid the coronavirus outbreak. According to Billboard, in legal docs filed by Kelly's attorney Steven Greenberg, Greenberg alleges that the singer is “1/10 of one point below diabetic.” This status, coupled with Kelly’s high blood pressure, cholesterol, and weight issues, places him “at the very top of the high-risk category” for people likely to contract COVID-19.  Greenberg has asked U.S. Judge Ann Donnelly a third time to release the singer to protect his health, claiming that he is not a flight risk.

Greenberg said, “The simple fact is that it appears that there is a serious spread within the BOP and this institution."
