Apparently, R. Kelly’s “spirit” told him to talk to Gayle King. As previously reported, the singer interviewed with King for CBS This Morning to address the sexual abuse allegations made against him. New reports have surfaced, claiming that Kelly’s “spirit” wanted him to share his side of the story.

TMZ claims that Kelly is in touch with his “spirit” and trusts it more than the people around him. He also said that he owed it to himself and his fans to break his silence and tell his side of the story.

During the interview, Kelly maintained his innocence and called his alleged victims liars. In between tears, he said, “I didn’t do this stuff. This is not me. I’m fightin’ for my f**kin’ life. Y’all killin’ me with this sh*t.” Kelly even said that he was the victim of a smear campaign, saying, “I gave y’all 30 years of my f**kin’ career and y’all tryna kill me. I’m tryna have a relationship with my kids and I can’t do it. Y’all just don’t want to believe the truth.”

Sources have said that Kelly gives “zero f**ks” about how he is being portrayed following the interview and that he is not concerned with the public’s reaction.

In other news, one of R. Kelly’s alleged victims, Lisa Van Allen — who appeared on the Surviving R. Kelly docuseries, claims that the singer told her that he had a sexual relationship with Aaliyah’s mother. During an interview with DJ Vlad of Vlad TV, she explained, “Lisa Van Allen: He said that he would go in the living room and him and her would do sexual acts on the couch, while Aaliyah was sleep in the bedroom. DJ Vlad: R. Kelly was having sex with Aaliyah and her mother at the same time? Not the exact same time, but the same time frame? Van Allen: That’s what he says, yeah. DJ Vlad: Oh, so maybe this is why Aaliyah’s parents have never spoken out themselves? Van Allen: Makes sense to me.”
