CIARA SAYS HER NEXT ALBUM WILL BE INSPIRED BY HER DEBUT: In Ciara's cover story for Allure magazine, she shared that her next album will be an ode to her 2004 debut. She explained, “From my perspective as an artist, I feel like it’s closest to my first album. It’s a lot of bass. There’s a strong R&B core, which is also really fun.” While her untitled forthcoming album doesn't have a release date yet, she has dropped two singles: “Jump” and “Better Thangs” with Summer Walker.
SWV'S DEBUT ALBUM CELEBRATED WITH SPECIAL COVERS: SWV's debut album, It's About Time, is celebrating its 30-year anniversary and is being honored with a special EP thanks to a company called Seeker. According to Vibe, It's Still About Time will include reimagined versions of the trio's hits such as “Weak,” “I'm So Into You” and “Always on My Mind.” “I'm So Into You” is the first release from the new EP and was redone by Tayla Parx. Parx released a statement on participating in the project and said, “I’m really happy to be able to share my take on an iconic song that I grew up listening to! As a singer/songwriter, I appreciate when a song has a well formulated structure wise and melody on top of being able to seamlessly convey a heartfelt message in a way that is accessible to all. My version of ‘I’m So Into You’ is what I feel like a 2022 version should sound like and I hope it touches a new generation of listeners just like it did for me!”
