
JANET JACKSON ANNOUNCES NEW LIFETIME/A&E DOCUMENTARY SPECIAL 'JANET JACKSON: FAMILY FIRST': Following her 2022 self titled documentary with Lifetime and A&E, Janet Jackson has announced an all new documentary special with the network. Janet Jackson: Family First, will follow the music icon as she prepares to hit the road for her 2023 Together Again Tour, and her collaboration with brother Randy Jackson to reunite the family band after 40 years since their last performance. Janet said in a statement, “I was touched by the love and support from the wonderful fans who enjoyed the documentary last year. I am excited to continue to share my story, and welcome fans into my life and the ‘Together Again’ tour. Thank you for your never-ending support, and I hope you enjoy the next chapter.” Janet Jackson: Family First is set to simulcast on Lifetime and A&E at a date to be announced soon.
AUGUST ALSINA DENIES WATCHING CHRIS ROCK NETFLIX SPECIAL: August Alsina has denied watching Chris Rock's Netflix Special following reports that he found the show "funny." A rep for August told ET, "This is a lie. Mr. Alsina has not seen Chris Rock’s special at all, as he’s been busy on tour." During the special, Chris Rock bought up Jada Pinkett-Smith and August Alsina's "entanglement."
KEYSHIA COLE BIOPIC TO AIR ON LIFETIME IN JUNE: Grammy nominated singer-songwriter Keyshia Cole has announced that her forthcoming biopic Keyshia Cole: This Is My Story, will air on Lifetime this summer. Keyshia is one of the film's executive producers and will also star in the film as herself. She will also be creting new music for the film. Cole said in a statement, “This is a story of a daughter’s love for her mother and although my heart remains broken from her untimely passing I am honored to be sharing it with the world. Playing the role of myself was a unique opportunity to re-live special moments in my life that also gave me the chance to process her loss in ways I did not expect. I miss her every day and even though she is not here, her presence was felt throughout this film." Keyshia Cole: This Is My Story will air on June 24th on Lifetime.
