JAZMINE SULLIVAN REVEALS THAT HER MOM HAS CANCER: Jazmine Sullivan took to social media to reveal that her mom has been diagnossed with cancer. She posted a pic of herself and her mom, along with the caption, “Late October 2019 our world was flipped upside down when [you] were diagnosed [with] IBC (inflammatory breast cancer). Our days were no longer filled [with] convos of [you] telling me to hurry up and finish my project, but of chemo treatments and hospital visits. S–t got real, [f]ast.” She added, “But if being your daughter has taught me one thing, it is how to work [with] something ugly, painful even, and make it a work of art.” Jazmine also revealed that she shaved her head bald in solidarity with her mother.
BRANDY SHOWS LOVE TO PRINCESS LOVE AMID RAY J DIVORCE: It looks like things are still good between Brandy and Princess Love despite Princess filing for divorce from Brandy's brother Ray J. On Mother's Day, Princess posted a picture of Brandy, along with the caption, "Happy Mother's Day Brandy aka TTB." Brandy responded, “You’re the sweetest, thank you! God Bless our family. I love you.”
KELLY ROWLAND OPENED UP ABOUT A TIME WHEN DESTINY'S CHILD GOT BOOED: During an interview, Kelly Rowland opened up about the time Destiny's Child got booed during a radio station concert. She said, “It prepared us…around that time Destiny’s Child was crossing over, and because we were crossing over, I think that it was a question if we were still down or black.” She continued,“Before we went out there it was that overwhelming loud 'boo' and we were looking at each other like 'Are we going to do this, are we going to go out here?' I saw the look in B’s eyes and I was like ‘If she’s going out there I’m not letting her go out there by herself, I’m going with her…’ Here we are at the height of our career and we are being praised everywhere except for in our neighborhood.”
