RIHANNA STEPS DOWN AS SAVAGE X FENTY CEO: According to the Independent UK, Rihanna has stepped down as the CEO of Savage Fenty X. She has appointed Hillary Super, the former CEO of Anthropologie Group and leader at other major fashion brands. Rihanna said in a statement, “I’m so grateful and excited to welcome Hillary Super as our new CEO – she is a strong leader and is focused on taking the business to an even higher level.” Hillary said, “I’m thrilled to join the Savage X Fenty family. The brand is a major powerhouse in the lingerie and apparel industry, and its unwavering commitment to celebrating inclusivity and fearlessness is inspiring.”
GINUWINE REVEALS THAT HE FELL OUT WITH AALIYAH BEFORE HER DEATH: During an appearance on Drink Champs, Ginuwine revealed that he and Aaliyah fell out before she passed away in 2001. He said, “Her and I weren’t seeing eye-to-eye. I think it had to do a lot more with her loyalty to her uncle, Barry Hankerson — he was the record head and the company was my manager — I just decided to leave because whatever reason. Of course, her loyalty was to her family. So, that’s where that stemmed from.” He continued, “We ain’t have no beef or nothing like that — I ain’t beefing with no girl. It was one of those things where our time had separated.” The singer said that he "never got the chance" to make amends with Aaliyah. However, Ginuwine said that Missy Elliott told him he had a dream that Aaliyah forgave him. He explained, “Missy came and she told me one time she had a dream and Aaliyah said: ‘Don’t worry about it.’ She forgive me. And, I cried.”
JACQUEES ARRESTED FOR SIMPLE BATTERY: According to Hollywood Unlocked, Jacquees was arrested this past weekend in Gwinnett County, GA. He was charged with a misdemeanor of simple battery, plus a misdemeanour charge of willful obstruction of law enforcement officers. His mugshot hit the internet and his face was clearly swollen. The singer made bond by putting down $40 to secure his release. No word on why Jacquees was arrested.
