WHITNEY HOUSTON BIOPIC IN THEATRES IN 2022: Sony has picked up the Whitney Houston biopic I Wanna Dance with Somebody — and it's release date is Thanksgiving 2022.  According to Billboard, Bohemian Rhapsody writer Anthony McCarten will pen the screen play and The Photograph's Stella Meghie will direct the film. Sony TriStar head Nicole Brown said in a statement, “Whitney just makes you want to get out of your seat and sing and dance! She is anthemic in every way. With the guidance of Pat Houston, the legendary Clive Davis, Larry Mestel, Denis O’Sullivan, and Jeff Kalligheri, we have the absolute dream team to create the ultimate celebration of Whitney’s incredible life and musical achievements.” Davis added,  “From all my personal and professional experience with Whitney from her late teenage years to her tragic, premature death, I know the full Whitney Houston story has not yet been told. I am so glad that Anthony McCarten has committed to a no holds barred, musically rich screenplay that finally reveals the whole Whitney whose vocal genius deeply affected the world while she bravely battled the demons that were to be her undoing.”

RIHANNA COVERS HARPER'S BAZAAR, OPENS UP ABOUT FENTY SKIN: Rihanna has revealed how her mom inspired her to start her new Fenty Skin collection. In the cover story of Harper's Bazaar's upcoming September issue, she said, "She knew everything about perfume, skin care and makeup. She never let me wear makeup, but I was secretly fascinated. So, when she’d leave home, I would play around with hers.” On the what she sees for the future of the Fenty brand, she said,  “I’ve always seen the Fenty brand as more than just makeup, and I knew I wanted to make skin care from the very beginning. It was just about getting it right. You have to live with the formulas for a while and test them in different ways. It’s very different from makeup in that sense. It takes a long time.”
