Tina Turner's son Ike Turner Jr. was arrested during a traffic stop in Texas, days before the music icon passed away. According to People, Ike Jr. was arrested on May 6th in Alvin, Texas over a busted light. However, authorities seized 1.7 grams of crack, as well as 0.7 grams of meth, during the traffic stop.
According to Alvin Police Department Captain Q.T. Arendell, officers uncovered the narcotics after the 64-year-old tried to “eat the drugs” and dispose of the evidence.
Jessica Salinas-Esquivel, the passenger who was with Ike Jr, was also arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance.
Since his arrest, authorities have reportedly held Ike Jr. on a $70K bond at the Brazoria County Jail.
Tina Turner passed away last month in Switzerland at the age of 83.
