Drake has received a cease-and-desist letter from Tupac Shakur’s estate, threatening legal action over his recent Kendrick Lamar diss track featuring AI-generated vocals from the late rapper. The estate’s attorney has given Drake 24 hours to remove the song from social media. The letter expresses disappointment over the unauthorized use of Tupac’s voice and personality, claiming it violates his publicity and legal rights, as well as disrespecting his legacy. It also criticizes Drake for using Tupac’s vocals to diss Kendrick, who has always shown respect for Tupac.

Drake’s track, “Taylor Made Freestyle,” also includes AI-generated vocals imitating Snoop Dogg. But he had a very different reaction, posting a social media video in which he jokes: “They did what? When? How? Are you sure?” It’s unclear if he plans to take any legal action.
